A closed container system ensuring consistent liquid quality and minimum product residue
Fluid-Bag offers flexible, hermetic IBC solutions for the whole logistics chain, from filling to discharge. The closed packaging system avoids the risk of particle, bacteria or moisture contamination.
Fluid-Bag provides quality equipment for highly efficient discharging of liquid and semisolid products, enabling companies to obtain significative savings by reducing product residue.
Fluid-Bag’s clients in the printing ink industry often transport ink over very long distances, and are able to take advantage of the disposable Flexi container eliminating return transportation.

Flint Group, printing ink in Australia
CUSTOMER INFORMATIONCustomer: Flint Group
Product: Fluid-Bag Flexi
CASE STORY:
Flint Group, Australia imports printing inks from Europe earlier received in tanks which were emptied into totes before distribution to customers. Today printing inks are imported in Fluid-Bag containers sent directly from the supplier in Europe to customers in Australia. “Flint Group changed over to Fluid-Bags to save one step in the logistics chain”, says Mr. Jagdish Bhatt, Regional Operations Manager – India Pacific.
One of Flint’s customers The Franklin Printing Group based in Melbourne, is a large printing company producing catalogues and direct mail pieces. After tests they were pleased with the new logistics system and asked for supplies in Fluid-Bags. To minimize residue it was decided to install discharge rollers for which Fluid-Bag designed a rail system with mobile discharge rollers on top of the mother tanks. The first installation was in December 2008. Thanks to the rail system only one discharge roller is needed for a set of four mother tanks and three discharge rollers for a set of eight mother tanks.
Both the Flint Group and Franklin Printing Group have gained added value from Fluid–Bag’s global logistics system.
Exmark, the Fluid-Bag system cuts grease waste
CUSTOMER INFORMATIONCustomer: Exmark
Product: Fluid-Bag Flexi
CASE STORY:
Exmark, a manufacturer of professional turf care equipment in Beatrice, Nebraska, USA, recently installed a new lubricants system that will save tons of grease a year while providing major environmental benefits. With the help of its local cooperative and CHS Inc., Exmark replaced twenty 400-pound drum stands with our Fluid-Bag Flexi system.
“Traditional 400-pound-drum pumping systems result in a 10-15 percent loss of grease versus minimal loss for the Fluid-Bag Flexi and Discharge Roller system. Exmark will save about 4,000 pounds of grease a year, which will more than pay for the cost of the system,” says Chris Foree, certified energy specialist with Farmers Cooperative, Dorchester, Nebraska. “And the environmental benefits are significant. There’s minimal loss of grease and the empty bags can be burned, so we eliminate grease going into landfills and drums going to scrap yards.”
Foree says the Fluid-Bag system also offers advantages over tubular tanks for handling grease because there’s no need to ship tanks back to the grease manufacturer and there’s no contamination due to grease buildup. “Installation of the system at the Exmark plant was problem-free and it’s working flawlessly,” says Foree. “The plant employees are very happy that they don’t have to hassle with handling grease drums anymore.”
“ Exmark uses different Cenex® lubricants in manufacturing its commercial equipment. A lot of OEMs and other companies need large volumes of grease so there should be a lot of applications for this technology,” says Foree. ”Fluid-Bag is definitely a cleaner, safer system with great ROI.”

ExxonMobil launches gold system
CUSTOMER INFORMATIONCustomer: ExxonMobil
Product: Fluid-Bag Flexi
CASE STORY:
Grease One-Way Logistics and Distribution.
ExxonMobil America in keeping with their tradition of rigorous product testing, carefully evaluated the Fluid-Bag system for transportation of grease. They found that the system preserves the original quality of their grease products – not only during transportation and storage, but also during discharge.
ExxonMobil conducted field trials with the system at various major industrial operations. These showed that the ExxonMobil GOLD system can produce substantial cost savings when compared to conventional totes and drums.
